Receding Gums? Associates of Dental Arts Has the Answer

Dr. Kivett is a dentist on a mission to help people in the Joplin area obtain the healthy smiles they deserve. To further his goal, Dr. Kivett has dedicates himself to become an expert on procedures that will provide the best results for his patients. Dr. Kivett went to the McGarry Implant Institute, where he learned advanced procedures such as implant surgery and restoration, as well as sinus grafting. He also attended Rondeau Seminars Level I, II and III for orthodontics so that Associates of Dental Arts can offer the convenience of dental braces and appliances for our patients. So it was no surprise that when Dr. Kivett heard about the Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique (PST)and the revolutionary way it treats receding gums without the need for painful gum grafting, he was anxious to bring it back home to his patients.

Before and After Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique

The results are as amazing as Dr. Kivett had hoped. "I am excited by the results that I have been able to achieve with the pinhole surgical technique," says Dr. Kivett, "the old painful way of treating gum recession does not even compare." The results are immediate. To the left you can see the before and after pictures from a patient at Associates of Dental Arts from the SAME DAY as treatment. Our staff is excited about the procedure as well. Karen Lais, the Office Manager and Financial Coordinator says, "The pinhole technique is the only treatment for gum recession I would recommend to my family and friends. Most are patients pleasantly surprised at how affordable it can be. It is also often covered by dental insurance."

Pinhole Surgical Technique. Tool loosening gum tissue and pulling gum line down
Tool Loosening Gum Tissue

To perform the PST, Dr. Kivett will use a needle to make a small hole in your existing gum tissue. Through this pinhole, the doctor uses special instruments to gently loosen the gum tissue. By loosening the gum tissue, the tools help expand and slide the gum line to cover your exposed root structure.

Collagen Strips Promote Healing

The doctor then inserts collagen strips to help hold your gums in place and promote healing. There are no grafts, no sutures, and no incisions with the Pinhole Surgical Technique™. All Dr. Kivett needs to fix your receding gum line is to adjust your existing gum tissue.

Associates of Dental Arts offers complimentary consultations for the PST. You can contact us to schedule today.
