Taking Matters Into My Own Hands

Finally, after 29 exhausting days, we were discharged—under the grim warning that Claire would likely remain a “failure to thrive” baby.

Instead of going home, we drove straight to my office.

I used my dental laser to release her lip tie.
Then I handed her a bottle.

She drank 60 ml in 5 minutes.

Within 24 hours, she was drinking 140 ml in just 15 minutes—a 230% improvement!

Defying the Odds: Learning to Breastfeed

Doctors told us she would never breastfeed. We didn’t accept that.

With the help of a lactation consultant who specializes in oral ties, Claire learned to breastfeed in just 20 minutes. She continued to breastfeed until she was 15 months old.

Why I’m So Passionate About This Work

That experience changed my heart forever.

Sadly, most of the medical system is not updated on the latest research about oral ties. Medical schools rarely teach about them, and even many pediatricians are unaware of how significantly they impact feeding, breathing, and development.

Every week, I meet parents who ask the same question:

“Why didn’t anyone else catch this?”

You Are Not Alone

If you’ve read this far, know that you are not alone. Feeding your baby is hard—and oral ties only complicate the process.

If your latch is painful, your baby struggles to eat, you suspect an oral tie, or you have concerns about feeding, please reach out.
